Senior Financial Analyst

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Operations Finance Team. This position will be a key part of the Corporate Finance Team supporting management decision-making with reporting and analysis in a cross-functional environment. A successful Senior Financial Analyst will have a working knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, strong technical skills, and the initiative to learn and add value to the business.

Coordinate all aspects of budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting:

• Lead the annual budget process for business partner
• Accurately prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly forecasts
• Analyze trends in operating expenses, capital expenditures and other related area
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings
• Analyze the financial impact, risks, and opportunities of proposed business decisions
• Prepare monthly variance analyses and financial reporting
• Research and understand cost drivers

Active communication with Lutron organization:

• Conduct business reviews with business partners and finance team
• Provide detailed financial analytics in support of monthly updates
• Proactively lead business partner to meet or exceed financial commitments
• Make recommendations to business partners regarding risks and opportunities
• Partner with accounting during the monthly close process and ensure compliance to Lutron’s accounting policies
• Support board of director and audit committee preparation
• Support Finance Director with special projects and efficiency / effectiveness projects

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a 3.2 GPA or higher
• 3-6 years work experience in finance and/or accounting with monthly reporting responsibility
• Experience in manufacturing a plus
• Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• High-level of Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
