Standards Development Leader

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Standards Development Leader. In this position, you would be a key part of the Standards Development Group which supports market access for our products and differentiation for Lutron.  A successful team member in this role will work collaboratively internally and externally to drive the creation of standards that benefit Lutron customers, business and the lighting control industry as a whole.

You will develop a working knowledge of Lutron products through cross-functional projects to prepare Lutron for changing standards. You will gain insight across Lutron’s businesses, operations, and engineering in developing strategies to advocate for customer and quality concerns in negotiating standards language. Each day will hold a variety of responsibilities including technical writing and communication, project management, and strategic planning

• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop positions for new standards and regulations with Lutron businesses and engineering teams
• Educate internal stakeholders on new and changing standards and regulations.
• Grow Lutron’s leadership in key industry and professional associations such as the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Lighting Europe, Global Lighting Association (GLA), and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
• Develop key relationships with standards development organization and regulators. 
• Actively investigate trends and ensure that we continue to develop the right solutions for the market and are positioned to maximize business impact

• BS/BA degree with 3.0 GPA
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a technical field with some exposure to standards and/or regulatory development.
• Willingness to travel to industry committee meetings.
