Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Sales Engineer in Madrid (Spain) .

  • Effectively identity customers' needs through probing and asking relevant questions, and recommend the right solution to customers

  • “Show, tell and sell”: utilize his/ her solid understanding of Lutron’s full product offering, literature, applications, demos and experience centres to educate, raise awareness, create demand and close orders

  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, industry professionals, and leverage his/ her network for new introductions and achieving sales objectives

  • Identify business opportunities to open new channels or accounts to grow sales

  • Coordinate with territory sales team to surround the job and close orders from generated specifications

  • Build technical expertise with commercial and residential and hospitality solutions

  • Work with colleagues to prepare and present customer and influencer trainings and Lutron e-tools, such as “Designer+” and “”IE CPD’s

  • Participate in local trade groups/ Networking events for influencers

  • Ensure the libraries of design and engineering firms have up to date Lutron usable materials (brochures, fabric binders, samples etc.…)

  • Proactively inform your colleagues when a tender with a Lutron spec is about to get released, support them in the closing stages by calling on the influencers and defending the spec if needed.

  • Take accountability to overcome obstacles and achieve outcomes by executing the solution. Know how to navigate the organization, when and who to ask for help

  • Communicate effectively and regularly with his/her supervisors and Lutron colleagues

  • Keep accurate expense records and submit expense reports in a timely manner

  • Keep up to date records in

  • Provide and maintain the highest level of service to customers to enhance Lutron’s reputation and ensure repeat business



The successful candidate will be a well organized, motivated and dynamic individual who has experience working with specifiers particularly the MEP community , Architects, Designers, end users and channel partners in Iberia.

A self-driven and proactive individual who is hungry to grow and achieve goals set out by the management team.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Lighting, Custom AV, Window Treatments or related Industry

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales track record

  • Bachelor’s degree is essential (Engineer or Technical degrees will be appreciated)

  • Proficiency in IT skills and CRM

  • AutoCad & Designer Tools

  • Desire to work as part of a dynamic team and develop a career with an ambitious company
