Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for an IT Technician in our Austin - Texas facilities.  In this position, you would be a key part of the Information Technology team supporting our production operations. A successful IT Technician will use their interpersonal skills, and technical expertise to meet the needs of the Lutron production operations and their people. You will leverage your technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, problem solving abilities, proven communication skills, and time management abilities to add value in our production facility.


  • Provide daily IT support 
  • Serve as first level “PC Helpdesk” for local employees
  • Properly document and manage all current IT systems in the facility
  • Work with corporate IT to design and implement forward looking IT solutions
  • Write reports as needed
  • Support applications in the production facility
  • Act as the interface between corporate and the local facility for all IT matters
  • Coordinate with corporate IT to ensure we have the proper infrastructure to support the business now and in the future
  • Support general IT production needs
  • Build and hone your skills in multiple IT disciplines
  • Devise and help to implement new IT processes for continuous improvement

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Information Technology discipline
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0  
  • IT Administrator preferred
  • Knowledge of computer systems, software applications, operating systems, networking and/or database
  • 3 or more years of experience in an IT function preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
