The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Program Manager, Regulatory & Compliance, is responsible for managing the portfolio of EHS programs and policies for Lutron and supporting overall regulatory EHS compliance. This role provides support for the global Lutron organization.


As a part of the corporate EHS team, the EHS Program manager will report to the Global Director of EHS and collaborate closely with global EHS Facilities.


  • Develops and maintains EHS programs, policies, and processes in concert with regulations requirements and changes
  • Develops and implement safety policies and procedures, including identifying risks and providing training to employees on how to handle hazardous materials or situations
  • Builds EHS program to align with occupational health and safety standards in accordance with federal, state, and international regulations for compliance with global EHS regulations, laws, industry best practices
  • Monitors global EHS regulatory changes to determine impact to Lutron and develop process and procedure modifications as required
  • Manages the portfolio of all EHS policies & procedures
  • Facilitates communication & collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure implementation of and compliance with the global EHS program
  • Collaborates with internal cross functional stakeholders & site leaders to communicate EHS compliance risks
  • Assists site project teams to implement their EHS process and procedure requirements
  • Drives and supports EHS requirements during the scoping of new programs and/ or projects and consults on project plans
  • Provides support for EHS permitting
  • Conducts thorough and accurate audits to drive continuous improvement
  • Oversees EHS incident investigation, records of accidents and injuries to track trends and improve safety measures
  • Reviews incident investigations to evaluate causes
  • Partners with site HSE leaders to ensure identification of root cause and appropriate corrective actions
  • Review safety emergency preparedness plans for natural disasters, fire hazards, chemical spills, ensure that the company can continue operations in the event of an emergency
  • Help to administer EHS tools like chemical inventory database, training database, record retention and injury reporting process
  • Participate in the Employee Safety Committee


  • BS  degree with a min GPA 3.0.  Major in environmentally related field preferred 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience serving as an EHS technical resource, EHS program specialist, or EHS program manager

  • Experience preparing and supporting OSHA and other regulatory visits and  hands-on experience with OSHA Injury Recording annual filing

  • Experience with safe work practices, including incident management, corrective action management, hazard identification, root cause analysis, and risk analysis

  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems

  • Strong knowledge of environmental, safety and health regulatory landscape

  • Professional certifications as ASP, CSP or CIH (Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist) a plus

  • Language Skills: English required, multilingual a plus

  • Willingness to travel to multiple manufacturing and office locations - 25% domestic and international travel is required
